How to transfer a printed stencil to your pumpkin
- Trim the paper around the design and tape it flat to the pumpkin (snip the edges so it bends around the curve).
- Poke along every line with a pin or a poking tool, about 3 mm apart. A pencil with firm pressure works on soft pumpkins.
- Remove the paper and rub a little flour over the dots so they are easy to see.
- Cut out the black areas with a small pumpkin saw, starting from the centre and working out. Leave the white areas.
Questions
Are these pumpkin stencils really free?
Yes. Every stencil on this page prints for free at full page size, with no signup and no watermark on the printout.
Can I save a stencil as a PDF?
Yes. Press Print on the print page and choose “Save as PDF” as the printer.
What do “carving-ready” and bridges mean?
A white area completely surrounded by black would fall out when you carve. The print page connects each one to the rest of the pumpkin with a thin bridge, and removes specks too small to cut.
Can I make a stencil that is not on this list?
Yes. Describe any idea, or upload a photo of your pet, and get a free watermarked preview in about 15 seconds. The full pack is $2.99 once.
